Night Cap Sales give buyers another chance to bid on vehicles that don’t sell during the regular Virtual Sale. If a vehicle doesn’t sell during the Virtual Sale, it enters a second chance bidding period. It’s also added to a Night Cap Sale. During second chance bidding, buyers are able to place preliminary bids prior to the start of the Night Cap Sale.
If the vehicle has a minimum bid price and that minimum is met during second chance bidding, the vehicle will be sold to the high bidder and will be removed from the Night Cap Sale. If the minimum bid is met during the Night Cap Sale, bidding will continue until the last high bid is received.
If the vehicles enter second chance bidding on a Thursday or Friday, the Night Cap Sale will be held the following Monday. Night Cap Sales are held at 6 PM PST (9 PM EST) Monday through Thursday. There are 4 Night Cap Sales held simultaneously at 6 PM PST (9 PM EST) Monday through Thursday. Each sale includes vehicles located in the following regions: Pacific (includes Hawaii and Alaska), Central, Mountain, and Eastern.
